Alessi Convivio DC100S7 - Convivio was born from a dialogue between Pritzker Prize winner David Chipperfield and Michelin-starred chef Pietro Leemann, whose different skills came together in the conception of this collection. Pots, saucepans, frying pans and kitchen tools were developed with the goal of creating a versatile, high-performance set that could accompany food from preparation to serving on the table. By investigating the possibilities of vegetarian cooking, the different tools could be analyzed by best calibrating technical, dimensional and typological choices, making Convivio both universal and particularly suitable for cooking vegetables and legumes. The name Convivio is meant to pay homage to cooking as both an aesthetic and convivial act, capable of building community by gathering people around the preparation and pleasure of food. The designer's design approach is evident in the centrality of the material, exalted in its simplicity and purity in a refined juxtaposition of textures and surfaces.
